Farm encounter

On the 22nd July as part of an end of term party, Spitalfields Hackney City Farm brought along some farm animals for the benefit of Highgate Newtown Community Centre Under 5’s, who thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of meeting them.

A Brazilian musician was also present to sing and play the guitar during this fun session.

Parent/Carer feedback was amazing and there were smiles all round from the little ones as well as the grown ups. Over 120 adults and children came along in total. Two sessions were necessary to accommodate everyone.

A big thank you to everyone who made this event possible including Andrew, the whole HNCC and Hackney City Farm staff and our funders.

New Name for HNCC

We are changing our name!

We have grown beyond our original home at the community centre in Bertram Street. We have so many active partnerships with other groups, such as local churches and schools that our name no longer describes what we do.

Our new building, when it opens late in 2022  will be at the centre of our activities and services and will be far more than a community centre, but our various partnerships will continue. They have been so popular and successful that we feel that our name should reflect the full range of what do

So we have officially changed our name to

Highgate Newtown Community Partners
