HNCC Community Garden Gets a Makeover Thanks to Volunteers from The Wellcome Foundation
Early in July, enthusiastic volunteers from The Wellcome Foundation arrived at HNCC with their gardening gloves to help give the community garden a makeover.
This initiative was facilitated by the charity Project Dirt. Volunteers cut back overgrown shrubs, weeded borders, pruned, cleared, swept and replanted tubs with lavender and geraniums.
As a result of their hard work, centre users will now enjoy this space over the summer, while children and parents will be able to use the area for outdoor play and gardening activities.
A big thank you to everyone who worked so hard to benefit the local community and we look forward to seeing you again at HNCC.
