Join the dance
Circle dancing form part of ancient traditions, many still practiced in different cultures around the world. Typically such circle dances marked special occasions or might be associated with the passing of the seasons. With such a rich global heritage there is plenty for the Circle Dance group to draw on, and from which a varied repertoire of dances has been prepared that range from slow and reflective to lively and energetic.
Whilst we welcome experienced dances and regulars in our group, some of whom have many years dancing experience, our sessions are also entirely accessible to novices. Eve demonstrates the steps of each dance, then introducing musical accompaniment whilst helping participants to join the dance. Dancing brings a sense of well-being as well as providing healthy exercise, all in a community setting.
