Community Lunch

Community Lunch

An affordable hot nutritious meal joining with others in your community. Lunch clubs are a way to have a great value meal away from home. For some people, a lunch club meal may be their only freshly cooked food in a week. Attendees interviewed at typical clubs have said that it is usually their main meal on the day that they attend.

Community Lunch

A community lunch provides an opportunity to meet with others outside of the home, providing the opportunity for social contact and interaction with the local community, fostering well-being and encouraging participation in other activities.

“could be in the house all week and not see a soul”

“It’s for the companionship as well as the novelty of having someone else cook; it’s nice to have someone cook for you”

“It’s lovely to meet new people and I find that if I meet them in the street, they will say hello and that’s important to me because I don’t belong to this area.”

Welcome to our Community Lunch clubs

All our hot meals are prepared by Lulu, our excellent Catering Manager, with love and care, at a price we all can afford £2.50. The low price does not mean we compromise on quality. We are grateful to the Lady Gould Trust for their grant support to help us run these sessions

As part of our service we can sign-post members to various partners if they need additional support. People come along for all sorts of reasons. Some people live alone and feel isolated and enjoy the opportunity of making new friends. Others just love the food and the activities we offer.

All our Luncheon Club Venues, are discovery hubs for participants to find out about what else we have on offer. This may be Trips, holidays, and a range of different fun activities.

We work in partnership with several local organisations, sharing resources from buildings to volunteers.

We promise you a warm welcome so do come along!
