Reopening of the caf'e
On Friday 12 December after a lighting refurbishment paid for entirely by private donations, Highgate Newtown Community Centre’s hugely popular café was reopened-just in time for the Christmas Community lunch.
The ribbon was cut by Margaret Williams, husband of Albert, who was a long time trustee on the board of HNCC. The family live in nearby Bertram St and Margaret generously provides cakes for the Friday community lunch.
Helping to cut the ribbon from left to right: chef Paulina Roginska, trustee Fran Nixon and Green councillor Sian Berry.
