Transition Dartmouth Park’s growing group celebrated Harvest Home in HNCC community garden on a Sunday in late October.
We met Anna, one of the egg laying hens kept by a local family; she enjoyed looking for worms and snails amongst the spinach!
Two members of the growing group are sweeping up the autumn leaves
The snail race was popular- with the children anyway!
Most of the food for the bring and share lunch was grown on site or harvested locally included the popcorn. Everybody admired the different coloured corncobs.
